What is Somatic Meditation and EMT?

​

Somatic Meditation takes our body as the fundamental arena of meditation practice. Rather than trying to develop meditation through our our left-brain, thinking mind in a “top-down” process, as is the case with most contemporary approaches, Somatic Meditation involves a bottom-up process, wherein we connect with the inherent, self-existing wakefulness that is already present within the body itself. In contrast to conventional approaches that emphasize entry through the intentional thinking of the conscious mind and following conceptual instruction templates, Somatic Meditation develops a meditative consciousness that is accessed through the feelings, sensations, somatic intuition, and felt sense of the body itself. We are simply trying to tune into the basic awareness of the body. Put in Buddhist terms, the human body, as such, is already and always abiding in the meditative state, the domain of awakening, and we are just trying to gain entry into that.

Soft music will play in a dimly lit room to allow you maximum benefits.

The session will begin with gentle breathing techniques to relax your mind and release stress from your body. The meditation itself will focus on bringing your subconscious mind into an alpha state where it can relax and heal.

 

There is a miss conception that people feel they are unable to meditate. This may be true for beginners with no guidance however being guided by a practitioner allows you to enjoy this relaxing service.

While you are in a state of relaxation we will rebalance your energy field using gently, effective bio-field balancing techniques. This creates a positive flow of energy within your body's energy systems.

EFT works by tapping on acupressure meridians to release blockages. When these blockages are released, the problem feeling can be released and move through the body. The process starts with a beginning statement of what the problem feeling is and includes a complete acceptance and acknowledgement of the problem.

Your session will end with the DNA Repair 528 Hz Tuning Fork is a powerful tool to have in sound therapy. Able to produce the same frequency used by genetic engineers to repair the DNA, this 528 Hz tuning fork is wonderful to use when you want to improve your overall level of wellness using the subtle healing power of sound.

ZenYou Services In-Clinic Cancelation Terms: 

​

We are a small boutique clinic, and in order to provide you and others with excellent customer service and access to appointments during peak times, we reserve that time just for you. Without sufficient notice, we end up turning away other clientele. When clients are unable to make their scheduled appointments, we are unable to best serve our customers waiting for that spot. We do travel from out of town for your appointment and share the space with other therapists. Our cancelation policy is set to accommodate this.

• No-show appointments are 100% non-refundable. Your credit card on file will be charged.

• We require 48 hours' notice to cancel an appointment without penalty.

• 48 hours notice is required to cancel with the exception of a medical emergency. Your credit card will not be charged.

• Cancelations within 48 hours of appointment time require a 50% penalty fee of the cost of services booked. 

• We do require a credit card at the time of booking. Your card is not charged until the day of your appointment. 

• No-Show appointments will require full payment of services booked for secondary appointments. 

• Late Arrivals: Our sanctuary is cleaned and disinfected between all clients. We require a minimum of 30 minutes between appointments to do this. Your appointment time will end at its scheduled time to allow this cleaning process to happen and to ensure the next client starts their appointment on time.

We understand that some things happen outside of your control that makes you late to your appointment. We will do everything we can to accommodate you. However, if you are running more than 5 minutes late we may need to offer you a shorter service or reschedule your appointment in order to accommodate all of our guests with the full ZenYou experience.  Please let us know as soon as possible that you are running late so we can best accommodate everyone.  If we have to reschedule your appointment, you will be responsible for 50% of the value of the original service(s).
