About These Meditations

Meditation isn’t about stopping your thoughts.
It’s about changing your relationship to them.

Most of us live with what’s often called the “monkey mind”, constant stream of thoughts jumping from the past to the future, replaying conversations, worrying, planning, judging. This isn’t a failure of the mind; it’s how the brain is designed to protect you.

Meditation works by gently giving the brain something steady to rest on: your breath, sound, imagery, or sensation, so the nervous system can shift out of survival mode and into regulation.

Over time, this practice:

  • Calms mental noise without forcing silence

  • Reduces stress and emotional overwhelm

  • Improves focus, sleep, and self-awareness

  • Helps you respond instead of react

Some days your mind will wander. That’s normal. Each time you notice and return, you are doing it right.

These meditations are designed to meet you exactly where you are, whether you have five minutes or thirty, whether your mind feels quiet or chaotic.

 

Gentle Reminder

There is no “perfect” meditation.
There is only presence, practice, and permission.

Take what serves you. Leave the rest.
And come back whenever you need a moment to breathe.

About Deanna

Meditation has been part of my life for decades, not as an escape from the world, but as a way to stay present within it.

I’m Deanna Byrne, a 500-hour accredited meditation and mindfulness teacher, with content downloaded over 3 million times worldwide. My background spans psychology-informed coaching, nervous-system regulation, breathwork, somatic practices, and lived experience. Because real life is the greatest teacher of all.

My approach to meditation is grounded, accessible, and human. You don’t need to “clear your mind,” sit perfectly still, or be spiritually advanced to benefit. You simply need a willingness to pause, breathe, and meet yourself where you are.

These free meditations are my way of offering that pause: no pressure, no performance, no expectations.
